An intimate retreat into remembrance, embodiment, and the sacredness of being fully alive.
December 30, 2026 – January 3, 2027
Joshua Tree, California

There are moments in life that ask us to turn inward—not to escape what is happening around us, but to listen more honestly to what is here, what is changing, and what may be asking to be lived differently.
Inner Sanctum is an intimate four-night retreat created as a space to step outside the noise of everyday life, slow down, come back into right relationship with yourself, and begin living from what is true.
Held over the threshold of a new year in the stillness of the Joshua Tree desert, we’ll gather not to become someone new, but to listen more closely to what is already alive. To make space for what is ending. To honor what has shaped us. To reconnect with the body, our own inner knowing, one another, and the life asking to be lived from here.
This is not a retreat about fixing yourself, forcing transformation, or leaving with a perfected version of who you are.
It is a space to listen more closely, uncover what is asking to be seen, honestly examine where your life may be out of alignment with what matters to you, and practice new ways of meeting yourself, your relationships, and the life you are consciously creating.
To remember. To reclaim. To integrate. To embody.
To return to what is already scared within.

Each day will move between intentional practice and spaciousness—time to gather, time to explore, time to integrate, and time to simply be.
꩜
Movement + Embodiment
Yoga, somatic exploration, breath, movement, and practices that bring us out of analysis and back into relationship with the body.
꩜
Ceremony + Ritual
Intentional spaces for reflection, release, remembrance, and honoring the thresholds we are moving through.
꩜
Sound + Stillness
Immersive sound, meditation, rest, and opportunities to soften into deeper states of listening.
꩜
Self-Inquiry + Embodied Leadership
Journaling, guided reflection, experiential workshops, and practices exploring self-trust, values, boundaries, courageous communication, personal responsibility, and how we bring what we know into the way we actually live and relate.
꩜
Community + Connection
Circles, shared meals, honest conversation, laughter, and connection that becomes possible when we are given space to arrive as we are.
꩜
Expression + Celebration
A sober New Year's Eve dance experience inviting expression, freedom, play, and the simple joy of being alive.
꩜
Nature + Exploration
Time outside beneath wide desert skies, including an intentional excursion into Joshua Tree National Park.

Inner Sanctum isn't defined by any one practice.
The practices are simply doorways.
The deeper work is what happens when we become willing to meet ourselves honestly—to notice the patterns we have been living inside, listen to what our bodies and relationships have been showing us, and examine where the way we are living may no longer reflect what is true.
Throughout our time together, insight will continually be brought back into practice. Into how we communicate. How we hold boundaries. How we take responsibility. How we relate to ourselves and one another. How we make choices. How we meet discomfort. How we create safety and trust within ourselves rather than continually searching for it externally.
Because what happens in the Sanctum is not meant to remain there.
The practices, conversations, and experiences we move through together are meant to offer something you can continue returning to long after you leave the desert—supporting you as you integrate what you've discovered, embody the teachings, and walk forward with a deeper commitment to living in integrity with who you know yourself to be.
The sanctuary we're creating together is ultimately meant to remind you of the one that already exists within you.
And that you always have access to it.

We will gather in the final days of 2026 and cross into a new year together—not through resolutions or pressure to reinvent ourselves, but through an honest examination of what we want to leave behind, what we are ready to commit to, and what we are choosing to carry forward.
Throughout our time together, we will create space to honor what has shaped us, recognize what may no longer be aligned, and become more intimate with the values, desires, and inner knowing we want our lives to reflect.
The threshold of a new year offers us a powerful place to practice this.
Not by deciding who we should become, but by taking greater responsibility for who we are choosing to be. To enter a new year with greater clarity around what matters to us and how we want to show up in our lives, our relationships, our purpose, and the world around us.
To anchor more deeply into our own self-trust, sovereignty, and capacity to lead ourselves forward.
And through all of this, we will make room for joy, play, connection, laughter, and the simple pleasure of being fully alive.
So when midnight comes on the 31st, we can truly celebrate.
Not because the turning of a calendar makes us someone new by default, but because there is something sacred about meeting a new beginning awake to who we are, in reverence of all we've been, and intentional about how we are choosing to live from here.

For four nights, we'll make our home together at Gaia Villa, a luxury retreat property in the quiet expanse of the California high desert. Set on 3.5 private acres, our 4,000-square-foot villa offers room to gather, practice, rest, and find space of your own.
Designed with gathering and retreat in mind, the property includes an indoor yoga studio, open-air practice pavilion, walking meditation labyrinth, hot tub, cold plunges, rooftop patio, fire pit, and expansive outdoor spaces surrounded by desert and mountain views.
There will be places to come together and places to wander away. Space to move beneath the desert sky, commune around the fire, share meals at the table, soak beneath the stars, or find a quiet corner to simply be.
For these four nights, this space becomes ours.

There is something about Joshua Tree that asks you to listen differently.
Where the Mojave and Colorado deserts meet, the landscape feels ancient, spacious, and otherworldly—vast skies, sculpted stone, twisted Joshua trees, and a kind of silence that makes it easier to hear what has been hidden underneath the noise of everyday life.
For generations, people have been drawn to the desert for solitude, reflection, creativity, and spiritual seeking. Inner Sanctum was intentionally created here for the same reason:
this landscape naturally supports the inward journey.
We'll spend an unhurried day in Joshua Tree National Park—connecting, exploring, and allowing the land to become part of the experience itself.

Food is one of the ways we'll care for you throughout our time together.
We'll gather around the table for colorful, nourishing meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and intentionally prepared to complement the rhythm of our days—because nourishment is part of the practice, too.
Our meals will be lovingly prepared by retreat chef and Ayurvedic Health Coach Shea. Inspired by Ayurvedic principles, our menus will feature warming breakfasts, vibrant lunches, abundant shared dinners, seasonal desserts, and nourishing herbal refreshments—all created with care to leave you feeling grounded, nourished, and deeply satisfied.
Special touches will be intentionally woven into the experience—from an Ayurvedic morning tonic bar to a celebratory New Year's Eve dinner, midnight snacks, and handcrafted herbal mocktails.

*Guests are responsible for transportation to and from the retreat.
*Transportation for our Joshua Tree National Park excursion is included.

There will be an intentional rhythm to our time together, without filling every moment.

Some experiences will invite us deeper. Others will invite us into expression, play, and connection. There will be time together and time to yourself. Time to practice and time to integrate. Space for conversation, silence, movement, rest, laughter, and whatever the day asks of you.
The retreat itself becomes part of the practice.
In how we listen. How we speak. How we rest. How we relate. How we choose. And how we return to ourselves in the middle of it all.

Or perhaps you're simply feeling the pull.
Nothing needs to be wrong with your life to enter the Sanctum.
You may simply know you are ready to meet yourself—and the life you are creating—with greater honesty, intention, and devotion.
I created Inner Sanctum from the same philosophy that shapes all of my work: that transformation doesn't come from someone else giving us the answers to our lives.
I believe the most powerful spaces are the ones that help us hear ourselves more clearly—and then give us somewhere to actually practice what we hear.
My work has been shaped by years of training, facilitation, and lived experience across embodiment, yoga, Reiki and energy work, Human Design, nervous-system awareness, courageous communication, integrative wellness, ceremony, group facilitation, and embodied leadership.
But the way I guide has never been about any one modality. It is about meeting what is actually here.
I create spaces where you can be supported and challenged, witnessed without being rescued, invited deeper without being told who you should become, and given room to discover what is true for yourself.
My role is not to manufacture your transformation.
It is to hold space with enough presence, integrity, care, and honesty for something real to happen within it.
I’ll be there to walk alongside you as you remember your own light and just how capable you already are.
Shea Lehnen is a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic Health Coach, retreat chef, and owner of Wildflower Yoga Studio in Wyoming. With 19 years of experience practicing and studying yoga and Ayurveda, she brings together movement, nourishment, breath, and mindful living in support of meaningful growth and transformation.
Throughout the retreat, Shea will support you through nourishing meals, movement, breath, ritual, and the quiet tending of the space itself. Her approach is warm, intuitive, and grounded in the belief that nourishment extends far beyond what we put on our plates—it is also how we breathe, move, connect, and choose to live.
We offer three accommodation options, each with its own features and a different level of privacy, so you can choose what supports you best.
Your investment includes your four-night stay along with the full retreat experience—meals, programming, excursions, pre-retreat gathering, post-retreat integration, and access to the retreat property.
If you're attending with a friend, partner, or someone you'd like to room with, you'll have an opportunity to request one another during enrollment. Solo guests are welcome and will be thoughtfully paired, with mixed-gender room assignments made only with their consent.

Not at all. Inner Sanctum is designed to meet you where you are. No previous experience with yoga, meditation, breathwork, or any of the practices we may explore is required.
Everything will be offered with guidance, options, and an invitation to listen to your own body and inner knowing along the way.
Inner Sanctum is for those who feel called to step away from the pace and noise of everyday life and create space to listen more deeply.
You may be moving through a transition, reconnecting with yourself, integrating years of inner work, craving deeper connection, or simply feeling that something in you is asking for space.
You do not need to arrive healed, certain, or with a problem to solve. Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to participate in the experience are enough.
Absolutely. You do not need to know anyone before coming to Inner Sanctum, and many retreat guests may arrive on their own.
Entering a new space with people you haven't met can feel vulnerable, especially when you're traveling somewhere unfamiliar. You won't be expected to immediately open up, perform, or connect in any particular way.
There will be time to arrive, settle in, get to know one another, and allow connection to unfold naturally throughout our days together.
No. You are encouraged to participate fully in the retreat experience, but participation will never be about overriding yourself.
There may be moments when what you need is rest, quiet, or space rather than another experience. You will always be invited to listen to your body, honor your boundaries, and communicate what you need.
Some group experiences or logistical portions of the retreat may have designated times when everyone's presence is especially encouraged.
Your investment includes five days and four nights of accommodations at Gaia Villa, daily nourishing meals and refreshments, all retreat programming and facilitated experiences, our New Year's Eve sober dance experience, a Joshua Tree National Park excursion with group transportation, access to Gaia Villa's retreat amenities, a thoughtfully curated welcome gift, a pre-retreat orientation and virtual community gathering, as well as post-retreat integration support, tools, and resources.
Your specific accommodation will depend on the room option you select.
Airfare, transportation to and from Gaia Villa, rental cars or rideshares, travel insurance, and personal expenses outside of the retreat are not included.
Transportation for our planned group excursion to Joshua Tree National Park during the retreat is included.
Inner Sanctum offers both private and shared accommodations at Gaia Villa, with different room options available at different investment levels.
Shared rooms accommodate a small number of guests, and your selected accommodation will be confirmed when you reserve your place. Please review the accommodation options above for specific room and bed configurations.
Most guests will share bathroom facilities with other retreat participants. Gaia Villa has 3.5 indoor bathrooms, along with an additional heated outdoor shower and vanity. Any accommodation with access to a private ensuite will be clearly identified in its room description.
Meals are an intentional part of the Inner Sanctum experience and will be thoughtfully prepared by our retreat chef and Ayurvedic Health Coach, Shea.
You can expect nourishing, satisfying meals made with care to support our days together—not rigid ideas of what "wellness food" should look like.
Meals and refreshments throughout the retreat are included in your investment, along with coffee, tea, and drinking water at the villa. We'll gather around the table together as part of the experience.
We will do our best to accommodate common dietary restrictions and food allergies when communicated in advance.
You will have an opportunity to share dietary needs during the enrollment process. If you have a severe allergy or highly specific dietary requirement, please reach out before reserving your place so we can determine whether we can safely accommodate your needs.
Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is the closest commercial airport to Gaia Villa and is approximately a 45-minute drive from the retreat. Depending on where you're traveling from, other Southern California airports may offer additional flight options, although they require a longer drive.
Transportation to and from Gaia Villa is not included in your retreat investment. Guests may rent a car or arrange other ground transportation. Closer to the retreat, I will help connect guests with similar travel plans when possible so those who would like to coordinate rental cars or rides may do so together.
Detailed arrival information and the exact property address will be provided to confirmed guests.
Guests should plan to arrive at Gaia Villa at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30. Our opening experience will begin that evening, so please arrange your travel with enough time to arrive and settle in beforehand.
Our retreat concludes the morning of Sunday, January 3. Guests should plan to depart Gaia Villa by 9:30 AM.
When booking flights, please allow adequate time for travel between the airport and Yucca Valley. More detailed arrival and departure information will be provided to confirmed guests.
Winter in the High Desert can be beautiful—and cold. Late December and early January typically bring mild daytime temperatures and much colder mornings and evenings, with temperatures sometimes approaching freezing overnight.
Bring comfortable clothing for movement and rest, warm layers for desert mornings and evenings, supportive shoes for exploring Joshua Tree, a swimsuit for the hot tub or cold plunge, a reusable water bottle, personal toiletries and medications, and anything that helps you feel comfortable and at home.
Yoga and practice supplies are available at Gaia Villa, so you will not need to travel with a yoga mat unless you prefer your own.
A complete and detailed packing list will be sent to confirmed guests before the retreat.
Yes. Spaciousness is an intentional part of Inner Sanctum. There will be a rhythm to our days, but not every moment will be programmed. You will have opportunities to rest, journal, explore the property, use the hot tub or cold plunge, walk the labyrinth, connect with others, or simply spend time by yourself.
Gaia Villa has Wi-Fi, and you will have access to your phone throughout the retreat. I encourage intentional technology use so we can be fully present for the experiences and one another, and there may be times during facilitated practices when phones are put away.
Inner Sanctum is not intended to be a forced digital detox.
Inner Sanctum is a sober retreat.
Alcohol and recreational drug use are not permitted during our time together.
Our New Year's Eve celebration will also be intentionally substance-free—an opportunity to experience movement, music, connection, play, and celebration with our full presence.
Once your application is received, I will personally review your responses and reach out to schedule a virtual consultation. This gives us an opportunity to meet, connect, explore what's calling you toward the retreat, and make space for any questions you may have.
From there, we'll both have an opportunity to consider whether Inner Sanctum feels like the right experience for you. If invited to attend, you will receive next steps for reviewing your retreat agreement, confirming your accommodation and payment terms, and submitting your $500 non-refundable deposit.
Your reservation is confirmed once the required enrollment steps are complete and your deposit has been received.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to complete your enrollment and reserve your place. Your deposit is applied toward your total retreat investment.
Flexible installment plans are available, with options varying based on your enrollment date. All installment plan balances must be paid in full no later than December 15, 2026. Your specific payment terms and deadlines will be provided in full for your review before your reservation is finalized.
Your $500 non-refundable deposit helps secure your place and allows us to make advanced commitments for the retreat. Additional payments may be eligible for a partial refund depending on when cancellation occurs. Complete cancellation and refund terms will be provided for your review before enrollment and must be agreed to before your reservation is finalized.
Because unexpected circumstances can arise, travel insurance is strongly recommended, particularly for airfare, transportation, and other non-refundable travel expenses.
Reservations cannot be transferred to another person without prior approval. Because Inner Sanctum is an intimate group experience and each participant goes through the application process, any potential replacement guest would need to complete the application process and be approved before a transfer can be accepted.
Please contact me directly if an unexpected circumstance arises, and we can review the available options within the terms of your retreat agreement.
If Inner Sanctum must be canceled or postponed by the retreat organizer, you will be contacted directly with next steps and any applicable refund, credit, or rescheduling options in accordance with your retreat agreement.
Expenses outside of the retreat—including airfare, rental cars, and other travel arrangements—cannot be guaranteed or reimbursed by the retreat organizer. For this reason, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

You do not need to know exactly what you hope to find here.
Perhaps something in you simply recognizes the invitation.
Come as you are.
Bring what you're carrying.
We'll meet what is here together.
